MY INSPIRATION FOR THE FOUND FOOTAGE PROJECT. I WANTED TO DO A VIDEO LIKE THIS BUT DECIDED TO FOCUS ON ONE ASPECT, RACISM.
Another Video exercise made for Interaction I/Visual Narrative class last semester. It’s more like advertising VCU in Qatar.
I made this Youtube video for Interaction class I last semester. I took the footage of my swimming pool in my compound’s clubhouse. It’s a narrative video that should show the clubhouse as a deserted, abandoned place, almost like nobody goes there to swim, or otherwise.
I made this Youtube Video of Qatar’s National Day (December.18th.2009). I lived in Doha, Qatar since I was 6 years old and they just recently started celebrating the National Day.
However, it was not an assignment I had to do or anything. I was just bored at home in the holidays and felt like doing something productive. Most of the reviews are written in arabic because that’s the native language in Qatar.
Some folks loved the video, while others asked me to remove it because some content they felt, does not represent their customs and traditions (basically local teens acting stupid). But there was no messege intended when I made this video, just gathered up the footage that I had to make it, nothing special.
I don’t think I chose the best format to export the video, so it might be a little pixelated…. :S
Random Pictures I took from around Richmond. (Getting introdcued to Richmond), as an exchange student.
